Have you ever had that dream where you are sitting on your couch and playing a video game and never have to go out until you want to? That is what the life of a game tester can be like with the right companies. Not all companies allow their game testers to work from home, but with the right experience and contract this is a possibility. Many companies require a part of their contract to say that you cannot speak to anyone outside of the company about the games you try out, but this is not an issue for most people who join this career field. The biggest concern for people coming into this field is making sure they are paying proper attention to the details of the game. People who do not have the ability to be detail driven will not work out with this position. Getting to play games all day seems easy enough, but this is only a dream position for a select few who can handle it.
