I am a 27 year old classically trained actor. I got my start in this crazy business playing in a summer stock production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights Dream when I was just a teenager. Since then I have been hooked. Though at times I have struggled as an actor, waiting tables to make ends meet like everyone else, I am now winning parts on a fairly regular basis. I am always on the lookout for casting calls

I live in the Chicago area and there are plenty of small theater venues for me to hone my chops while I am waiting for my big break. I just finished a run starring in a production of 12 Angry Men. That has always been one of my favorite plays and I am proud to have been a part of it. I have also played in a production of Death of a Salesman, though not a starring role.

I have been in many local television advertisements, mostly cheesy car dealer and law firm commercials. I used to see these ads on day time television growing up, I never thought I would be in one. Oh well, another day another dollar. Just another mile stone on my way to the top. If I wouldn’t have done these awful ads I wouldn’t have met my lovely wife. She worked at a car dealership where I was filming. We dated for a few months and then I used the money from the commercial to buy her an engagement ring.

All in all it has been a good career, and I have aspirations to make it to Hollywood. I know that isn’t the likeliest of all scenarios but it never hurts to dream, and when I dream I dream big. I can just picture it, me a hot shot Hollywood star. That would be the life.

Most people who want to pursue a theatre career can only aspire to take up acting classes NYC. For the majority, taking up acting classes in order to get into the theatre industry in this city might just as well remain a dream. For one, it is not easy to get lessons in a city where the cost of living is generally high. It takes a lot of determination and dedication from an individual to be able to qualify and afford the acting programs being offered in the top schools in the area. The Big Apple is home to the best drama and acting schools in the country so the training one can get from taking up acting classes in these schools are of a different calibre than what is being offered elsewhere. For this reason, a lot of people refuse to give up on their dreams and continue to persist.
